A wonderful man and a character. Was lucky and honoured to have known him and spent time with him for several evening meals. He with John Major also opened our new Offices/Workshops in Huntingdon at Lola when completed.
R.I.P. Murray Walker you will be missed badly.

Unlike a medal such as the Victoria Cross which is often awarded posthumously, A knighthood is a lifelong honorary title, historically it was a way of making someone a nobleman, when only noblemen could own land. Nowadays it is a purely ceremonial title. However it can only be awarded to the living.
