It's Fair Time again. No parking in Fair Meadow car park.

Attendance: 6,832 (434 Swansea fans)
Maybe the Fair kept the attendance down.
The result won't help the next home game.

When I woke up this morning we were winning 2-1. I was delighted. We're staying up. Next time I looked it was 2-3.

The disappointing thing was that we lost so late in the game after having harried and fought for so long, we just don't get the results some of our football deserves, it has certainly improved a lot, but I think we can forget about Championship football for at least a season. Some players should/ought to be good enough for next season at league one level. The loss of Thompson although not in the side since our return to some sort of form has been a major loss, his return will be like a new signing. If we do lose Edwards in the summer he will be an adequate replacement.
We were much improved under McCann

TBH Tony, the Fair Meadow problem was much less cause for the low attendance than the chances of the game being called off. It had rained constantly all day and there were puddles all over the roads. Fortunately the pitch held up really well considering how frail it has looked recently. It was still heaving down in the couple of hours leading to kickoff and it continued right through the whole game. We all got thoroughly soaked just getting to the stadium!
I think that the result of this game will impact greatly on our next home game as we have only nine games left to play and we are seven points (effectively eight with goal difference) adrift of 21st place and relative safety. Sad, but let's look forward to League One with optimism!
