No one there? What I don’t understand is why our defence is not proactive and push out, instead of falling back. I sit close enough to Fergie yet they ignore the advice. Anyone who remembers the winning Arsenal team from the 2nd half of the 80s, would know just how effective a proactive defence can be. Anyone know how many times an opposition player has been caught offside against Posh, so far this season. If it’s double figures, I’d be surprised.
So, the solution to easing our relegation issues is to hire Martin Keown for an hour or 2 a week until season end and we’ll be ok.
Failing that, at least hire a Defence coach, cos we have no clue.
It’s perm any 3 from 5 for relegation, and I am still optimistic we will finish outside the relegation zone!! 💪

Rumour has is that Mr Disinterested aka JC-H was playing!! Other than missing a sitter in the first half this rumour appears unsubstantiated! Yet Sammie remains unused on the bench while this Joker plays.

Joel Randall sadly looks more and more like a non league player with just one season of League Two action to his name. Staggering to think we paid a million quid for him according to DMaC

The whole team was disrupted for whatever reason and I can only take out a few positives from the game. Kwame Poku has shone through in the last few games and has imo shown more than Dembele has for some time. Fuchs had a good debut, considering he is hardly fluent in English and had only met his fellow players in the last 24 hours! Thompson looks to be getting back some of his effectiveness and Mumba had a few good moments.
JCH was unlucky with his chance, as Foderingham made a superb save. Good to see Tomlinson back in the team but found the going hard. It was good to get another 60+ minutes into Jack Marriott. Both Grant and Knight didn't seem to know where they should be playing. It was strange to see JCH play deeper when Morton came on - that just didn't work. Benda and Kent struggled against top opposition and Joe Ward touched the ball four times, one to shoot poorly and three to play the ball backwards! What has happened to his confidence? Randall looked totally out of any sort of form but can be excused a touch as he has been out for so long.
Just look at the quality in the Sheffield team and you can realise that it was always going to be a very tough evenings work!

Foderingham, Basham, Brewster (sub McGoldrick 21min), 77min) (sub McBurnie , Egan, Norwood, Robinson, Bogle, Hourihane, Ndiaye (sub Fleck 70min), Norrington-Davies. Subs: Davies, Baldock, Berge, Gordon.
