Reading v Posh

Post by ashman »

A good chance to get pints on the board. I reckon they will be saying that on their boards!
I'll be there. Anyone else?

Yep I'll be there as it's my local game. Just a note for anyone who likes to buy & collect Match Programmes, Reading don't do one anymore not even a team sheet

I like to look on the bright side, we surely can’t be as bad as we were at Sheffield, and we can’t get a more one sided referee

I think how we rebound from the hammering on Saturday will be telling. If Fergie shuffles to a back four I think we may be stronger at the back and with Taylor in midfield we might have more in the engine room....we are having to learn fast and it could be argued that we were playing Preston and Sheff Utd at the right time (both were struggling before they played us) and Reading are the same as they are struggling...1-0 win to Posh!!!

Reading's regular keeper is apparently out with a hand injury after punching a tactics board in the changing room on Saturday after QPR scored late on to snatch a 3-3 draw. Their back up keeper has only played for them 3 times and only once in the league. Although he did play 15 times on loan at Hamilton Academical in Bristle's favourite league in 2019/20

Having seen that abysmal showing at the weekend I wonder what has happened to Tomlinson, he was thought highly enough to be played out of position in the game at Luton, If Thompson is available he surely needs to start ahead of Knight despite the loss of height. I would suggest a back four of Tomlinson Thompson Kent and Butler, Coventry, Taylor, Norburn, and Grant as a midfield four, with Dembele and Marriott or JCH up front

Ward Taylor Coventry Burrows

Dembele JCH

SUBS

Szmodics
Norburn
Edwards (or Taylor)

Marriott
Grant
Randall

Just read that Reading have 9 out through injury...we are rebounding from a thrashing....surely a comfortable win for the Posh tonight? Having said that, I'm as nervous as all hell.... :?

I know it looks as though I have a direct line to Fergie but, honestly, I don't....Just Taylor on the bench instead of Norburn and Burrows out (must be injured) as the difference....COME ON POSH!!!!
