Re: Posh U23s
Posh U23s | Lakin, O’Connell, Powell, Barker, Edwards, Fernandez, Oluwabori, Harris, Kanu, Poku, Randall. Subs | Bojang, Peters, Ishola, Gyamfi #pufc
GOAL | #pufc open the scoring, Kanu races onto a fine Powell pass, takes his time and picks out Poku, who sweeps the ball home from close-range. #PETWAT
GOAL | Poku doubles the Posh lead and his tally and what a goal it was too. Shifts it onto his left-foot 30-yards from goal and smashes one into the top corner. #PETWAT
GOAL | Randall makes it 3-0, fine run, excellent first touch and a composed finish leaving the keeper with absolutely no chance. #PETWAT
GOAL | Clipped free-kick into the box by Barker is met by Fernandez at the back post and his downward header squeezes past the keeper. Posh lead 4-0 #PETWAT

Re: Posh U23s
u23s playing at 1pm today in Bristle's home city and people actually allowed in to watch! Apparently it can be watched on RobinsTV as well (whatever that is)
Re: Posh U23s
2-0 up at half time against Bristol City. Somewhat fortunately, rocky at the back. Chong has gone off injured. Not his best game, looked slow and rushing every pass, committing silly fouls. He’s been replaced by Ethan Bojang. Johnson Gyamfi with both the goals. Poku & Kanu lively up front, supported well by Olawabori. No Barker or Fernandez in the team today.

Re: Posh U23s
Finished 4-1. Kanu then Poku after Bristol scored after a dodgy Bojang back pass playing in their attacker. They couldn’t deal with our front three of Kanu, Poku & Olawabori. Less convincing at the back, surprised we only conceded one. Defence like to play out from the back; young players don’t always get it right so no surprise there were some sloppy passes. I’ve not seen Hickinson before but he’s certainly committed and all action if his cameo is anything to go by. These sorts of games will do these young players the world of good. Solid display from Tomlinson who looked relatively untroubled and surprisingly streetwise. Decent afternoons entertainment all in all

Thanks for that and welcome back to the board! Kanu good enough to replace JCH if the probable ban comes through tomorrow?matt404 wrote: ↑21 Sep 2021, 15:00 Finished 4-1. If JCH Does get suspended I assume a few of the boys maybe on the bench

Re: Posh U23s
Performing well in an under 23 game is a totally different proposition than Fridays game. He was quick, strong and tricky today, much like he was against Donny last game of the season. I wouldn’t fancy making such a bold call as starting him on Friday if JCH isn’t available, but for now he’s as close as we’ve got to number 9 available to us now. Why we don’t have a back up striker is an entirely different question…
