POSH LADIES

Post by ashman »

A team that we should all be becoming more aware of, and that is our very successful ladies team. They now have a new shirt sponsor for next season.

It’s not proper football, if they played in a Scotland I doubt they finish in the top two.

How can it be not proper football? It's football and it's played all over the world including Scotland.

Of course it's proper football. They are not playing against men, nor should they. I guess your post has a touch of the anti-Scottish football about it!
The Posh Ladies are part of our club and should be acknowledged.

Slightly off topic, I get annoyed, nay angry, that my morning newspaper covers a game in the WPL and gives it more newsprint than to all of the EFL, and the pyramid put together. Yet, Chelsea for example, have fewer people attending their home games than Peterborough do to some away games. The majority of people in this country are far more interested in men’s football at all levels than than the women’s game.

That is true, but it just shows that the ladies's game needs more of a push.

It shouldn't need a push Ashman it should stand on its own rather than be propped up and funded by the men's game. Women's Tennis, Golf & Athletics sustains itself and thrives as a stand alone product.

Behave, they'd win the Scottish Premier.
It's only Celtic and Rangers
