It's all Posh and only a matter of time for us to get two more goals.
Re: AFC Wimbledon v Posh moved....
So much possession and so little to show for it. We desperately need a finisher and we don't have one.

It really isn’t good enough.
The recruitment was shocking in the summer. We’ve spent millions on this squad & we look mid table at best.
Get a manager in who knows the game & doesn’t just have a famous dad.
Sick & fed up of this “I can only work with one man” bullshit

Lost 2-1...we deserved a point I thought but didnt test their keeper much despite our possession...it's really not good enough at the moment and we are on one of those famous Fergie runs that he normally saves for the championship....An awful result given the circumstances but we have an average manager making poor signings and wasting the Toney windfall....

Hopefully whoever is in charge in January will spend the money we get for Dembele alot wiser.

Wimbledon were a poor side. But they won.
Whatever Fergie said to the players at half time didn't work.
It was all Posh but we couldn't score.
I blame DMac.
We shouldn't have sold Toney.
Re: AFC Wimbledon v Posh moved....
Toney was the ticket to promotion. We made millions in a Covid year and spent it on Broom, Szmodics, JCH adding to the expensive signings of Taylor and experience of Beevers and Thompson...a decent manager would have us top by 5 or 6 points by now....
Re: AFC Wimbledon v Posh moved....
We are a League 1 team. Not Championship and not League 2. We will continue to be so with this squad and manager (imo). Desperately hoped I'm proved wrong.
Re: AFC Wimbledon v Posh moved....
Another tepid display without strength, any sparkle and seventeen shots for just one goal from a free kick. Not good enough and we could be looking at a big hiding at Pompey.

Re: AFC Wimbledon v Posh moved....
I didnt think we were "tepid" Brian...dominated the 1st half and needed a goal but I agree that we didn't really test their keeper and, given that their whole side cost about as much as Szmodic's left little toe nail, it was an awful result...nonetheless, we will have to trust Fergie to get it right as we haven't got the guts to make a change...
Re: AFC Wimbledon v Posh moved....
Thought we dominated first half and were unlucky not to be in front. 2nd half, 2 poor goals (the second very fortunate) for Wimbledon and we were never coming back. I don’t like to blame the manager, the players we have should be good enough to win a game like that but there were some piss poor performances. I would not be sad to see the back of Broom and Beavers, I just don’t see what either brings to the team. I now see why Dembele doesn’t pass very often, it’s because he’s not very good at it. I don’t know what Blake-Tracey was doing, he hardly payed a forward pass all night and Reed’s passing was woeful.
Thompson and JCH played ok, Szmodics and Taylor tried hard.
Really looking forward to the Portsmouth game.

Re: AFC Wimbledon v Posh moved....
I suppose this was another joke; I notice you didn't specify how much time.
Had you not been paying attention to our last five games?
Cambridge 1 Posh 1
Crew2 Posh 0
Posh 1 Blackpool 2
Posh 1 Plymouth 0
Posh 1 Chorley 2
And now this:
Wimbledon 2 Posh 1
One goal a game is our ceiling at present. Still, it's 'only a matter of time' until the Szmodics goal avalanche starts to rumble, according to the chairman.
Re: AFC Wimbledon v Posh moved....
It definitely wasn't a joke. We had plenty of time left to score two more goals. We were by far the better team and were all over them. We should have won. If I knew how to fix it I'd tell Fergie.
Re: AFC Wimbledon v Posh moved....
Fleetwood can testify that we didn't need much time to score two goals. Unfortunately, it doesn't take us very long to concede two goals, either: two in six minutes tonight, two in two minutes against Chorley. As did Chorley, Wimbledon came closer to extending their lead in the second half than we did to eliminating it. Still, 'we were by far the better team and were all over them', so that's all right.
