Traffic

Post by ashman » 26 Sep 2018, 07:54

Good to see that the traffic on here is slowly getting back to normal. In fact there were more posts on here this morning than on .net, excluding their wonderful 'Fred Drift' thread!

I always liked Stevie Winwood, preferred him in Blind Faith and the Spencer Davis group who I saw once at Boston in the sixties.

This is only the second posting on the forum in the last 24 hours. Is this forum sadly dying on its feet?

Of course not. There will always be quiet times and also there will be times when the traffic is at a premium.

I have been a member of this forum for 4 years and Chompy has been the main contributor in that time, but he hasn't posted for a good few weeks, which is a shame. I don't agree with most of his posts but his posts are always worth a read. However it is good to see Tony P posting again, welcome back Tony I hope all is well.

I don't know the reason and hope he is well, however maybe he is one of the gives it can't take it brigade that social media sees so many of.

Agree about Tony P although wasn't Chomps one of those who bullied him on here in the past? (apologies if it was others and not him)

Anyway despite my mickey taking I am astonished at the low levels of usage on here.
As the official fans forum I am astonished that the club are not concerned although maybe it is the same apathy that sees the OSC just trundle along

Posts on this thread since midnight 2, posts on Scunthorpe v Posh on Dotnet since midnight nil, perhaps there is an apathy about all forum use with Twitter and Facebook being the biggest diversion.

Not very bright are you? I wasn't directly comparing the sites (this time) but one has 21 posts on the subject and the other 7.

Back on subject (ish) there are a few spare seats on the Ebs Express leaving at 0900 with Ebs opening at 7.30 and a great pub sorted en route.
Cue anti fun gang posting which at least would add to the numbers

PM me if interested on a good day out.

I thought this was going to be a thread moaning about road traffic.

Blasted A33 roundabout road works making life difficult.

England is in need of serious road repairs generally - due to a lack of funds and many years of re-routing funds.
I live close to the welsh border a see the difference in quality of roads there, due to proper maintenance.
A roundabout five miles from where I live at a major junction (in England) is now on its third reconstruction in two years!
Widening, then extra lanes painted, then extra entrances added, then lanes blocked off, then route directions into different lanes - says it all.

Was it just two years ago that Scunthorpe looked as though they might actually win the league, and then did a shrewsbury and blew it?

I am looking forward to Posh zooming through the 30 point barrier and then moving steadily forward averaging 2 points a game

let's hope saint stevie can motivate our team
