I remember watching Pompey at Posh in the FA cup 3rd in 1966.. Beat that..The gate was about 16k. o we won one nil. Ray Hiron scored..Ill be there saturday with me ole zimmer frame..

I also remember a league game in the seventiesor early 80's and we drew 0-0...Thats as far back as I can remember.

Do you think there'll be 16k on saturday?

I just checked it out. It was 1978. Seems like yesterday. Pompey boot boys were in attendance that day haha

Well I reckon you'll turn up for this one. If you don't get 10k you may as well give up. But hey a big following doesn't mean jack does it.

I got a soft spot for Posh. Does that bloke still walk round the pitch with the posh hat? Thinking about it he probably don't as he must be brown bread by now..lol

:comeon: we're ready for you

If we get 10k Mr Posh will eat that top hat. No chance.... But hopefully we'll extend our lead at the top :clap2:

Good luck for your season after next week

Well I'm going with my son. I go to as many away games as I can. I'm not sure how many tickets we got but I'm sure it'll be a good atmosphere.

Play up Pompey :clap2:

I won't be there, although I'll probably see the return fixture at Fratton Park, my Dad once took me to see Jimmy Dickinson in the fifties, he didn't get me interested enough I found my self supporting Posh in the late fifties

If they've given you 2800 the crowd will be around 9000.

Excellent effort from the Posh fans. I just hope we put on a good show as so often we get a good crowd and don’t perform as when we can. Next home game the returners fail to show up again!

Or look at the positive. Big home crowd. Ground should be bouncing.... You never know it might be influenced by our form and continue

Just hope you are right John. We need those rainy-day supporters to turn into regulars!

Biggest match for years and this site has no comments for 2 days

Anyway, as long as we negate their threat(s) from the wings we can win this and send a massive message to the rest of the division but we have to turn up from the start, get in their faces and not take our feet off the throttle.
I haven't seen any evidence we can do that for 90 minutes (didn't make Plymouth) so reckon it'll be a draw.
