That’s still a pretty decent team!

Interesting to see how we fare in midfield - I guess Reed steps in for Woodyard as the holding midfielder?

Buckley-Ricketts or Maddison up front with Toney?

I can’t even listen to the second half, our reserves aren’t as good as theirs

C’est la vie lost on penalties but at half time I’d have taken that

I was most impressed with Walker's second half appearance, I expect he will get some game time on Saturday.
MM starting to show what he can do again - although he looked frustrated at the number of quality balls he put into the danger area that went begging.
Toney seems to be good everywhere on the pitch except inside the penalty area!
Cooper was excellent with his dead ball kicks.
Other than that there was a lack of cohesion, especially in the first half, showing how little match time and player awareness they each had.
Time will tell, but most of the first 11 can rest easily for now.

Agree re Walker.
MM did indeed put in some good balls. However every single set piece except for 2 were pathetic, for gods sake the ball isn't moving, it really is not difficult to get that ball into the penalty spot area. Due to the poor attendance (well done all POSH who made up half the crowd, no way two and a half thousand there) everyone heard one of his infamous girlie squeals
Some wag shouted to him as he approached his (excellently taken) penalty that he had to "make sure you beat the first man" to much merriment
ok it was me and I laffed anyways
Correct re Toney, a combination of bad luck, poor finishing and decent defending conspired to mean he didn't score in open play.
Cooper indeed excellent on set pieces.

First half pathetic, Woodyard came on and started to get stuck in and the others were inspired.

Enjoyable in a game of two halves way.

Watched it on ifollow with radio commentary, well I say radio commentary, I do not think the 2 commentators last night understood what their jobs were. They were supposed to be commenting, telling people about the action on the pitch, not chit chatting about this and that, oh and MK have scored a goal. The commentary was worse than Posh's first half

very exciting 2nd half, and 5 great penalties from Posh, a much more enjoyable evening than I thought it was going to be after 45 minutes

Regards the crowd, I would say it was 2/3rds MK and 1/3 Posh from the camera views I saw. Great turn out from the Poshies, and great the penalties were taken at the Posh end

Onwards and upwards
Plymouth to Portsmouth 2017 -2018, that ain't far
