The Taming of the Shrews.

Post by DoubleRay » 13 Sep 2017, 15:09

Who would have predicted Shrewsbury's start to the season? I suspect they are going to be like Scunthorpe were last season and fall away from their lofty position. Hopefully that lofty position is reserved for the real " entertainers" of Division one.
Keep rubbing Chris Turner's shiny shoes.

All of what you said.
They just haven't got a large enough squad.
Numerically we are in a better position and thus far those who have come in have done a good job but we all know these things can go 'tits up'.
However by the time we go to that lovely town, Shrewsbury that is not Scunthorpe :D I fully expect them to be mid table at best.

I was told before the season started that the shrews would be close enough to the playoffs but I didnt believe them!
I thought it was just wishful thinking

18, 23, 23, 22, 21, 19, 18, 22, 24, and 23, were the predictions of the Posh learned for The Shrews! They came out as a resounding last place, just above Oldham, Gillingham and Wimbledon according to Poshay's combined table!

....And what do "the Posh learned" know?

Next to nothing if any of their guessing games are anything to go by.

Not if you are not prepared to predict in a fun game, you can just sit behind your computer and pretend you knew more than the "learned"

But I didn't see that the joke was on me

I don't know anything about the Shrews players but looking at their mugshots some of them look more like rugby players.

However they seem to be keeping their unbeaten momentum going and they will be formidable with no doubt sky high confidence. I believe we can beat them though if we are on our game but boy we have to be the like minded team that beat Wigan.
