Is Maddison still at Peterborough?

Oh dear, maybe not as good as some on here have been saying for the last 2-3 season then, if he was that good he would have been bought long before now, as some of you were convinced would happen!
We benefit whilst he stays. Stop being so miserable and enjoy his talents if that's possible for you

He was good today I only saw him go down once in the whole 90 minutes.
...... and that was because he was fouled.

Birmingham's thin squad gets thinner and thinner.

Harry wants a striker, an attacking midfielder and a winger.

He lost two players to injury yesterday and had another sent off. One of those injured was Che Adams.

Harry is going to be out shopping this week would be my guess and we may not see MM in a Posh shirt again. They'll probably have to pay over the odds to get him too, which is fine.

No it's not fine IMIO. We need Marcus more than we have ever needed him. He has finally got players around him that seem to be getting to know what he is about. Get rid of him now and it could seriously threaten our chances of success this season. You are probably right though and he is bound to go eventually. I just hope we can keep him longer. Let him show the world just how good he can become in a good team and his value will rocket. It's a win/win situation as long as we can hang onto him, at least until the January transfer deadline and hopefully beyond that!
I just hope that DMac realises this and doesn't react in a knee-jerk manner. Grant McCann needs sticks up for the team and his own future by persuading him to hang on selling until later.

Most of that Ashman, is a load of tosh.

He needs to be sold sometime soon or we'll get nothing for him next summer.

He's already said, another contract is not up for discussion....He wants out.

He certainly isn't irreplaceable...No one is.

Jody Jones of Coventry City is the player I'd want us to bring in when he's sold.

MM is on the transfer list.

MM wants to play higher and wants the move now.

If he stays till next summer we'll get zip.

If he doesn't get his move he'll be as big a pain in the ar$e as Tomlin was.

DMac said on twitter a while back that he has an exciting Plan B in place should it happen. Although in reality it's Plan A, as MM staying would be Plan B. But it won't be Luke Berry as politics between the two clubs dictate.

Jodi Jones would be an excellent signing. Or Josh Windass, although he's said to wants to stay at Rangers and fight for his place.

OK then, sell him at a price that we know is too low and try to replace him with 'as good as' or better will not work and any chance of playoffs or more will once again blow up in our faces. We've been there before with Gayle and Assombalonga and lived to regret it. If he goes at the end of this season on a free and we get back into the Championship then that is a gamble that I would be willing to take. Come on DMac, show your confidence in the rest of the squad, offer him another contract, and whether he takes or not, at least keep him here.

Well said ashman.
We fans should not be concerned with what the club may or may not get for a sale of Maddison.
That's DMac's problem.
We are only interested in getting promotion and we'll have a better chance with Madison than without him.

You may laugh, just think how smart the club was with Nichols. they played him non stop when they realized they were going nowhere and made a killing on him. Now is the time for you to put your words to paper....how many will he score for Rovers....let's see it before the event, not after....which you are good at.

Apparently getting the ground back is more important laughably

Not laughably imo. It is an integral part of securing the club's future.

However as has been shown this close season, wanting, hoping and discussing with PCC about the purchase does not hamstring the owner when it comes to bringing in new players.
IF Marcus wants to stay and it is a big IF he needs to make it obvious to Darragh and he may be surprised at what he is offered.
Don't forget, if MM does well after signing a new contract he becomes worth more to us but also he gets a loot more out of it.

It is not unknown for players to be offered 'a little something' for signing a new deal.

.... and if you had seen him on Saturday you would have told your Leeds supporting friend to think again!
