Pre Season Tour

Post by PoshDrummerAdam » 19 Apr 2017, 16:57

So, after DMAC's interview with Swanny last week he confirmed the club will be on tour next pre season in Ireland or Scotland.

Two games one on 7th July (Sat) and one on 10th July (Tues).

Anyone else interested in going? I'm hoping the club can actually confirm information regarding this so some of us could get looking at flights, trains, hotels etc.

There's been a few mentions on Twitter to DMAC but nothing has been biten.

ADI, HELP!?

Waste of time & money by the club.

People go on holiday for all sorts of reasons, walking, climbing, skiing, sun and drink, the passion of Adam and his friends is football so fair play to their elbow.

You don't go when it's on your doorstep so why on earth comment on something like this?

A couple wins in Scotland or Ireland and we'll be promotion favourites

Scotland or Ireland?
Boring.
If it was Australia or New Zealand I would be going.
Being happy never goes out of style.

I meant a waste of money by the club. Original posting now amended. Sorry, Adam.

I have amended my original posting. I meant to say it would be a waste of time and money by THE CLUB.

No criticism of Adam was intended.

Why a waste.
Do you think there shouldn't be a pre season tour.
No pre season matches?
Just turn up August 5th

Two or three pre season friendlies are probably necessary but I fail to see why money should need to be spent on going to Scotland or Ireland (requiring hotel accommodation overnight plus considerable travel expense).

What can teams there provide that cannot be obtained closer to home?

The club loses money year after year. Little attempt seems to be made to contain costs in areas where easy savings could be made.

This is a great opportunity for team bonding and will help any new players settle in. Trips to St Neots and Boston are ok for a match work out but don't offer anything more. Personally I would love to see a game in or around Edinburgh.

A little tour around the Fife, Raith Rovers, Cowdenbeath, and Dunfermline.

What if the sides we wish to play also lose money yearly like 87% of FL clubs so wouldn't be able to play an away friendly?
I know, we could play our reserve/youth sides as we have to be at home according to someone who barely knows where the ground is
