Theresa May to make statement in Downing Street
Any time now if my clock is right.
What is she going to say?
What is she going to say?
Being happy never goes out of style
Re: Theresa May to make statement in Downing Street
She announced a snap general election on June 8 to 'make a success of Brexit'.

Best chance of a landslide in recent history, I do hope I'm not mistaken.

So Labour and the rest of the sundries losers have more chance of forcing a draw than Posh did on Monday.. Surely the 8/13 is a licence to print money, even the 1/10 is a 10% return for six weeks of investment, whilst the banks are paying around 1%.

Re: Theresa May to make statement in Downing Street
It is sensible opportunism by the Tories
It will be interesting to fully understand the rationale behind the emphatic U turn
The clueless Corbyn is just as clueless as he was when she was denying the need for an election. I anticipate that the Tories will gain forty seats
Perhaps the potential fallout from the election expenses enquiry has forced her hand
Presumably the long term economic plan will now be seen for what it was
Not long term
Not economic
Not a plan

Teresa May is the weakest Prime Minister we've had in a long time and is doomed in the long-term. Right now she has the media in her back pocket but it won't last forever. In her brief time as Prime Minister, at the top of my head she's:
- Tried and failed to hike up National Insurance, making an absolute pigs ear of it.
- Back-tracked on a promise not to hold a general election before 2020.
- Hopeless Brexit negotiations started by her threatening to withhold Terror information to our European friends, thus making every one of us in more danger.
- Has shown cowardice by being too scared to face opposition leaders in TV debates.
- Only speaks in public places where she has complete control of audience, questioning etc and is petrified of going away from her script.
- Has failed to punish the 30 (yes, thirty) MPs due to face charges for electoral fraud, and is using this election to hide/undo the damage.
- Instead of focusing on a good deal for Brexit, she's deflecting things to a general election. This is after she hypocritically said that now isn't the time for a Scottish referendum.
That's not to mention the failed Tory promises on national debt and in real terms we have seem our incomes reduce at the same level as Greece. The right-wing, tax-dodging billionaires who control the media do their best to control the masses though and we're like turkeys voting for Xmas. I could go on but I'll stop now!

Never trust a politician. Any politician.
Anyway she looks a bit like Mark Lawrenson to me.

Re: Theresa May to make statement in Downing Street
I'd definitely rather "Mr Useless" as you call him. It's absolutely clear that Teresa May is woefully out her depth, and it's only a matter of time before things crumble around her. As soon as she goes off script she shows complete ineptitude and is like a robot, simply repeating that Britain needs strong leadership. If Corbyn has made any of her many gaffes, it'd be all over the press but the billionaire-owned tabloids back the Tories as they'll continue to have accumulate more wealth & power.bristleposh wrote:so, who in your opinion would be better, her or Mr UselessWhite G wrote:Teresa May is the weakest Prime Minister we've had in a long time and is doomed in the long-term. The illusion that May is strong and Corbyn is weak is an complete illusion created in the media, who fail to report what actually goes on. Please list me why you would prefer May than Corbyn? I defy you to supply me any credible answers.
Also, any Tories should take the challenge in the link below:

30 points on Theresa May:

An article from the Economist:

Another example of May's cowardice. Hardly the sign of a strong leader, at least Corbyn can face the public:
