I'm sure that everybody has told you that it has been much more than interesting.
It has been quite educational as well.
I, for one, have certainly learnt from it. And it has helped pass way the time. Here we are following the Posh playing again.

I'd like to echo that sentiment Ash. The only down side was having to wrestle with my conscience on looking up Google on the frequent occasions when I didn't know the answer.

I shall show my gratitude too, it has been extremely educational, mind you I have forgotten all the answers already. Proud to say I didn't cheat once, had some lucky guesses too.

There will definitely be a pre-season quiz if that is the scenario!

Come on Ashman.
We need a quiz to keep us going over the close season.
(We are definitely going for the Championship next season).

Here's a question, answers by pm, if there's enough interest in this one. I'll try and come up with some others.
Until recently the largest city in England that had never had a top flight football team was Kingston upon Hull, but as they've now had a couple of spells up in the top tier, what city now holds that record?

Well, I was wrong with my answer to that one.
While Bristle is digging out some easier ones, here is one I found on a beer bottle top yesterday.
Which country has the longest name with no letter repeated?

In case anyone was in the remotest bit interest, the answer was Wakefield.

I did know this once upon a time, but I can't remember it now. Kurdistan would be my guess, but I have a feeling it may be one of the other stans

It's not Kurdistan or any of the other stans.
It's Switzerland.
No-one else got it right either.
One more try to help pass the time.
Who is this former Posh Player-Manager?
Born 4 December 1914 in Yorkshire, he came to Peterborough United as player-manager in 1954, and as Manager took the team to several famous FA Cup runs which included getting to the Fourth Round in 1956–57 and three consecutive Midland League titles between 1956 and 1958.
