Away day rituals

Post by bristleposh » 23 Aug 2019, 06:56

I have a tendency to get so excited on a match day that I am travelling to (example tomorrow at MK) I wake up at silly O'Clock and can't get back to sleep no matter how early it is. This week is ridiculous more than 24 hours early, unbelievable

Absolutely mate! Our travelling time is going to be a fraction of what yours. So far we have got two Official Supporters double decker coaches heading towards MK leaving at 11.30 tomorrow. Grays of Ely are our new coach providers and so far have been a good replacement for the Tourmaster coaches we had for a good few years. Unfortunately Dave, who owned the Tourmaster firm died towards the end of last season and his wife wound up the business and died a few months afterwards. A very sad end to a successful collaboration.
The colour of our coaches are, believe it or not, grey and it is the same firm that provides the players coach - although I don't think ours are quite as luxurious as that one!
Hopefully we will see you at MK. Not sure where we are imbibing pre-match but I will text you when we get there. Please keep your undoubted enthusiasm down to a minimum and don't drink more than your usual half pint of maggoty beer!

I can believe it.
Saturday games start here at midnight. When daylight saving ends it will be 1am. Home or away I try to wake up before the game ends. I don't set an alarm because it would obviously wake my wife as well.
I don't subscribe to iFollow now so I just follow the game on the BBC site.
The midweek games are the ones that give me trouble. They usually start at around 5 (or 6am) and I keep waking up expecting the game to have started.
