All done with 18 overs and 8 wickets to spare. On to Lords to meet the Black Caps.

Always nice to beat the old enemy, hopefully if they continue with their form a winners medal should be coming our way

I keep trying to spot him in "Harrow" on TV but to no avail. Perhaps he's out bird watching for sandpipers.

Could well be away for 3-4 days on a well deserved short break in Aussie land, and is not close to a terminal.

Got it in one Brian.
The only terminal I've been close to was the Brisbane Cruise terminal this morning.
I wasn't able to watch the game (lucky me) butI did get the result.
I'll now be shouting for England in the final.

What a Final , England scraping thorough after a tie and Super Over. New Zealand contributed immensely to the match and the series too providing Man of the Series in Williamson. It was ironic that the England matchwinner was Kiwi born Stokes.

That was the most amazing spectacle. Gaining victory in such bizarre circumstances, the two last over sixes were massive. Well done to Sir jeffrey Archer for coming out of prison to bowl such a wonderful final over to win the game in the tie break

ENG 241-all out (50.0 Ovs)
NZ 241/8 (50.0 Ovs)
Super overs
England 15
New Zealand 15
New Zealand should have been the winners. They lost less wickets.

But who is complaining? Not us Englishmen!

No they shouldn't! They lost because the scores were level and England had scored more boundaries, as according to the rules of the competition! Welcome back Tony as a true blue Englishman!

I'm just looking forward to the rebate on my Sky subscription for their releasing the match to free to air TV. However it was great that the match could be brought to a wider audience. Maybe more youngsters will take up cricket in the future.
Now what to do until the footie season starts ; off to watch Panthers v Belle Vue at the Showground tonight for starters.

Everybody knows that the rules gave the game to England.
I am saying it would have been fairer and more sensible to award it to New Zealand because they took more wickets.
But as I said who is complaining? Not us Englishmen!
