Barcelona v Liverpool

Post by Gaz_Miller » 01 May 2019, 20:55

Good game so far but I do wish the friggin commentator on BT Sport would shut up about Messi.

He’s not even playing all that well at the moment but he just keeps going on about him like he was his son on a Sunday morning.

I take it you’ve got your sofa turned with it’s back to the tv and are on Barcelona’s forum telling everyone how much you’ve had to drink.

Messi was much improved second half.

The commentator was wrong first half. Suarez was the best player tonight.

In every Liverpool players’ pockets!! That’s how you win a “must win” game. Fergie, get the VT and drill it into all of our squad.

Liverpool were truly magnificent and overwhelmed Barca on the night. I would say the very best game of football I ever witnessed in my lifetime.

Definitely one of the best games I've ever watched.

Liverpool were very unlucky to find themselves 3 down after the first leg, so overall by far the best team went through.

Might make a few people sit up and realise that the Premier league is the best in the world. Unfortunately, Messi never had the balls to come over & prove if he was good enough or not. Scoring five against Real Betis Reserves every week proves nothing.

Well done Liverpool. Amazing game.

Don't always agree with your comments Brian and I think the above is slightly understated but I couldn't have put it better! I'm just a little younger than you and have witnessed some stupendous Anfield games over the years but that takes the biscuit for me.

Definitely forwards the argument that Ronaldo is a better player than Messi in the never ending dispute! Ronaldo has done it in many teams, countries and continents.

Well done Liverpool!
Best of luck on 1 June, when they will meet either Ajax or Tottenham in the final. Preferably Spurs but more likely Ajax.
