Was a little concerned as to why .net was down and error message was being displayed. Did wonder if it was just me and perphaps I had committed some faux pas or upset a moderator but thanks to this board and the comments made it seems that they have an issue.

And at 14.05 this afternoon. Problems must surely be fairly serious. Anybody know what has gone wrong?

It appears that the problems with.net are pretty serious. I don’t know how many members on this forum are also on the .net forum but in the spirit of keeping people up to date and sharing information I would have thought that maybe and administrator or moderator from the .net forum would have posted with a brief update. Then again with it looking like a serious problem perphaps they are busy trying to sort things out and don’t have time. Pity really as there are no doubt a good few wondering what has happened and are missing the forum. Still down at 2:30pm.

A few days prior to the site going down some of the Moderators were trying a few new technical changes for the betterment of the Board. I am the least technical computer 'nerd' alive and do not understand what they were trying, but am wondering now whether that may be connected to the present problems. :?:

AND TEN MINUTES LATER IT WAS BACK WITH SO FAR NO COMMENT FROM THE MODS...………….back...…….back. :clap2:

And another 10 minutes later posted that IT WAS due to trying extras being added to the Board.

I gather there was only a marginal difference in those using .net when it was closed down and the numbers using .com

Glad it's back, not been off it that long for decades (except for the various suspensions)

They caught me again. Oh well never mind I had a good run. I’ll be back before they can say boo to a goose.
