The Australian cricket team....

Post by superposh80 » 24 Mar 2018, 23:15

Cheats.

Caught ball tampering in South Africa and admitting it was a "pre-meditated plan to change the condition of the ball"

"It's not what the Australian cricket team is about "....Smith. Erm, yes it is Steve and in the good name of cricket you should resign now. Lehmann too.

His position is untenable... He and his team have dragged the game into the gutter.

Despicable.

Hearhear, if it were Pakistan or India people would be clammering for them to be banned from International cricket.

People are indeed clamouring for them to be banned from International cricket.
Rightly so. It is disgraceful.

If proven then anyone involved should have a minimum ban of least 7 years. Too many corrupt cheating people in the world already.

Proven? ....

This is pre meditated cheating.

They've been caught bang to rights by television cameras and have admitted their guilt.

Cricket Australia should throw the book at them.

I bet the England camp are relieved by this adverse publicity ; it has certainly overshadowed the headlines about their innings defeat at the hands of NZ

And it has also overshadowed Mike Atherton's misdemeanour
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/athe ... 16044.html
which Wycliffe quoted on the other board but not on here.
Atherton was summoned before the match referee, the former Australian Test player Peter Burge, on Saturday night after television pictures appeared to show him putting his hand in his pocket then applying an illegal substance to the cricket ball. Atherton denied doing so, suggesting he was merely drying his hands on a hot and humid day, and was cleared of impropriety. But yesterday he admitted he had failed to inform Burge that he had dried his hands on dirt which he was carrying in his pocket.
The fines followed a grim day for England, who lost the first Test match against South Africa since 1965 with a day to spare. Set a largely theoretical 456 to win England were dismissed for 99, their lowest score at Lord's for more than a century.
Sounds familiar.

Yep....and so it should.

All England cricket fans are aware of the inadequate performances of the team.

People all over the world are now aware of what the Australian cricket team are all about....

Cheating...Bullying....Racism...Arrogance.

They have finally been found out....although this has been coming for years....and God willing will now suffer the consequences.

what a cover up.

of course lehmann and the fast bowlers would have known what was going on.

the bans dished out to smith warner and bancroft are about right...

but they're carrying the can for other members of the team.

the truth will come out one day, for sure.

I think the only reason they're crying is that they got caught

They certainly wouldn't be crying if they hadn't got caught.
If any other players were involved or if it has happened before those involved aren't crying .. yet.
