Brisbane boy the World Champion

Post by tonyp » 02 Jul 2017, 06:31

JEFF Horn did it.
The most astonishing sportsman in Australia scored one of the greatest wins ever in this country’s history by taking Manny Pacquiao’s world welterweight title at Suncorp Stadium today with a 12-round decision.

In a bloodbath of non-stop pulsating action, Horn overpowered and outpunched Pacquiao before a 50,000 crowd.

Scores were 117-111, 115-113 twice.

Quite right. But Manny Pacquiao was the favourite. Not many people would have had money on Jeff Horn to win.
And the other odd thing is that apparently Pacquiao is looking for another go.

I could probably beat Muhammed Ali today (I think hes still alive), and I can'tell fight sleep. You've got to beat these guys in their prime to gain respect.

Only reported in the tabloids so White G won't have heard about it.
