Since 2010, the Tories have created more debt than every Labour government combined supposedly. Not what the Daily Mail would want you to know though!

It appears to me, prior to reading the manifestos that as the Labour Leadership, departs to the left, Teresa is playing a sweet game by moving the Tories to the middle ground. Apparently, over 100 present Labour MPs will set up a new progressive party (as described by Billy Bragg last night) to challenge this middle ground. This may be a good move, as this will stop the Tories veering to far to the right

Very interesting times, probably initiated by New Labour being smug, and less than generous with the truth, then the left Labour party growing to its large, (but a minority in comparison to the population size)

perhaps a new progressive alliance moving forward would be good for the Country

They don't need proof Brian they support the left, they think it was Thatcher's fault the mines closed.

And the millions thrown at Britain's great unwashed in benefits plainly means nothing to you. Strange how the 'working mans party' pays you to stay at home instead of going to work to support your family. You can even work part time and the government will pay you working tax credits to top up your earnings.

Here's a few which show how misled we are by much of the mainstream media. The elite own the Tories so you can understand how it works:

Probably explains why that restoring fox hunting is of more significance than hospital car park charges.

I don't think you've ever posted anything factual, intelligent or though-provoking on here. No wonder you always get shot down in flames by smarter people. Stuie is a Tory but at least he has the ability to reason & understand. You on the other hand seem so bitter that you try to demean your opponent rather than counter with actual knowledge. Poor lad!!

Labour have a manifesto? Is this the throw money at the electorate ploy again?

we seem to have a choice between the barely credible or the barely competent. if the only serious reason we have for voting for one rather than the other is "we're krap but not as krap as the others " then it seems to me that we are for a rough time , as we try to pick up the crumbs from the mess that is brexit, where we seem to have bought a ticket but nobody knows where we are going or even where we want to get to.

there is no evidence that we have had a strong and stable government at any time in the past two (I would say nine) , yet the dog whistle politics of the day are that too many in the shallow end believe that what is repeated a dozen or a hundred times is in fact the truth. corbyn has shown no sign of credibility in the past two years and may has shown no sign of competence in the past seven years. "no ifs and no buts". it is not a beauty contest.
