Re: Theresa May to make statement in Downing Street
we have just had the self seeking and lying Priti Prexit.
Nobody will give her an ounce of support other than the rabid Brexiteers who are scared brownless that their dream will be fully seen for what it was .
A full scale deceit and the people have been deceived. If they dont support her and the idiot Johnson then it could very easily fall apart
bring on the £350 million a week
at least we voted to have a strong and stable government. and mrs maybot will thank heaven that we have the least effective Loyal Opposition for the last 80 years
will she last till christmas?
I prefer to be stuffed to the tune of £2.25 per week than have this shambles going on and we ain't seen nothing yet

You told us quite vociferously in an earlier post that you had plenty of years under your belt. In which case you have a short memory having forgotten about all the diabolical years of wastage under Wilson Callaghan and Brown and the lies of Blair. Oh I forget I only listen to dog whistles
Re: Theresa May to make statement in Downing Street
I do not see how she can, nor this government, the trickle of bad news and undermining within the Major government, is nothing as bad as this

Re: Theresa May to make statement in Downing Street
all very true, but how can we negotiate the biggest issue for this country since world war 2, with all this disarray within the government. I do not have the solution, but I think it is probably time for the country to decide. can it get worsebristleposh wrote: ↑08 Nov 2017, 21:27You told us quite vociferously in an earlier post that you had plenty of years under your belt. Some folk on here are have very bizarre views. They sit back and watch a government make blunder after blunder, taking more money from us to give back to them & the attitude is that at least it's better than Labour governments in the 70s. The chosen few have us by the balls and the majority of us seem to simply accept it, through a newspaper-driven fear that our current government are "strong & stable" and anything else would mean armageddon.

Re: Theresa May to make statement in Downing Street
Just like to point out that it is not some folk, it is just me. I have my own memories, am not led by anyone, newspapers or otherwise. If Ever there was another socialist Government in this country you would find out for yourself what taxation means. Corbyn's promises sound magical, he must have read Harry Potter. They would tax the poor even more to get the money they need, people's savings, pensioners inheritance would be stripped, it is the only way they will be able to get close to balancing the books because anyone with an ounce of common sense will leave the country and as they said in the 70s would the last person please turn out the lights. Trouble is of course the poor won't be able to up and out, so people like you and I will be left to pay there exhorbitant dreams. Communism is what Corbyn strives for but as was witnessed in The Soviet Union it don't work because people at the top are inherently greedy. Try reading Animal Farm again.

Socialism is a frowned upon word but what actually does this mean potentially for the UK? Railways going back into public hands? I for one have no problem with that as it still works all over Europe & privatisation has been a disaster. There's no doubt that any model has weakness but a completely free-market economy will not work, nor will communism. We need to get back to being somewhere in the middle if you ask me.

I certainly agree with the privatising bit, that was probably the worst bit of the Heath/Thatcher regime.White G wrote: ↑12 Nov 2017, 15:48Socialism is a frowned upon word but what actually does this mean potentially for the UK?
