Cancer awareness

Post by AndoverPoshFan » 07 Jan 2017, 21:05

Hi everyone,

Please can you spend 8 minutes to watch the video linked below. This is my daughter who is currently battling cancer. My cousin is doing a half marathon to raise money for charity and created this short video. I am not asking anybody to donate in any way however I think it's important that people are made aware that kids can get cancer too.

Thanks,

Leigh

My little 3 year old Grandson has leukemia and is 1 year 4 months into his 3 year chemo treatment.
The work CLIC Sargent does to support families and research is admirable. Life without their help would've been so much harder. 'tis where my support, currently, is headed.

Best wishes to your little girl Leigh x

Sorry to hear about your grandson, such a long journey for them it's so unfair. I hope he is coping well with the treatment. Clic sargent have been amazing for us as well, so supportive.

Hello again,

Just thought I would post an update Miah. She has finished her 27 weeks of chemo and her last ultrasound and x rays have given her the all clear! Massive relief all round. She now has to have scans every 3 months for 2 years in case there is any spread. We were told she is now at low risk so unlikely of a relapse (I have everything crossed).

Hopefully bringing her to more games as soon as her energy levels increase!

Leigh

Hi Leigh,

My son was diagnosed a week before his third birthday and the cancer returned again when he was six. We went through years of treatment and terrible times.

I'm happy to say he us now approaching his seventeenth birthday and is well so there are definite happy stories that follow such awful events.

Good luck to you and your family.

You are all constantly in our thoughts and prayers and in particular at this time of the year. It is now 7 years since we lost Clive come next Saturday the 4th March 2017. The Posh and their fans helped us enormously at the time.
