Hi

But to be honest, being a "Introduce Yourself" thread, I didn't really learn very much! :)

That's because zee didn't post on here. The mods decided to transfer my welcoming post here instead.
zee probably doesn't realise it has been posted.

Welcome Poshspiceboy!
By the way, isn't this supposed to be an "Introduce yourself" thread?

Although a few of my posts have appeared on the forum in the past, I have never formally introduced myself so I think it is time to do so. My earliest memory of watching the POSH was beating Torquay 2-1 in a 1st round FA cup match in November 1952. From then on, I followed the POSH through the last of their non-league days right until their election to the football league. It was at this time that I joined the RAF as an apprentice but still managed to get home occasionally and had the privilege of watching the POSH in that fantastic first year in the football league. In the years that followed, I acquired a wife and a family, had two overseas postings but never returned to Peterborough so I lost contact with the POSH apart from reading some rather scant reports on the sports page of the Sunday newspaper. With the advent of the computer age, I was able to follow the fortunes of the club in much more detail and finally, at the suggestion of my son (who still accompanies me) after a change in our family circumstances, I started to attend matches again at the start of the 2013/14 season and watched most of the home games during that season. We have been season ticket holders since the start of last season and also attend some of the away games, particularly those which are closer to us than London Road as ‘home’ games involve a 115-mile round trip for us! UTP.
