Plays against England tonight
After 9 minutes
"Kelley O'Hara pings an inch-perfect cross in from the right and there's nothing Carly Telford can do about Press's header."
Usa 1 England 0
After 19 minutes
"Beth Mead curls a terrific ball in from the left and White gets her toe to it first - directing it past Alyssa Naeher and into the far, right corner.

What a lovely goal!"
USA 1 England 1

So unlucky, three penalty misses and half an inch off side

Missing three penalties is not unlucky, it’s very poor technique.

If you watch closely for last nights penalty, she takes her eye off the ball and looks up at the goal just before she hits it. It resulted in a miss kick. That’s unforgivable at any level of football

.... and now the England ladies have to put up with criticism instead of congratulations and 'well done!'

None - totally different game.

Accept it on its merits or don't watch - simple.

As I said earlier in another thread...Womens' football is a sexist construct. There should not be separate competitions for men and women if , as women say, they should be treated equally.
