Changes for 2019

Post by Poshay » 30 Dec 2018, 19:52

What changes would you like to see in the playing and management of our favourite sport? Apart from less play acting, over celebrating and time wasting by players I would like to bring in the regulation whereby a yellow card is passed on by a player being substituted to his replacement for the purposes of that game. Then there would be no free hack or technical foul before the red card is given.
Any other ideas for a better game?

Instead of a yellow card have a 10 minute sin bin

import a few rules from rugby:-

1)Instead of a yellow card have a 10 minute sin bin (as above)

2)challenges to the ref, move things 10 yards forward (and maybe a penalty if appropriate)

3)and such challenges are worthy of a yellow card

4) end the game only after the ball goes out of play

5) in some way (ideas??) only award a penalty if there is an imminent risk of a goal (eg not if moving away from goal)

6) allow only the captain to address the ref

7) make "time added on " immediately accountable (maybe stop the clock when play is held up) so everyone can see that extra time is indeed valid and not just fergie time to please local support

I agree and have been advocating exactly that on forums over the years, none of it will happen of course as they are all to sensible to be acceptable by the powers that be
