We actually win a penalty shoot out, biggest surprise for me was how Columbia finished with 11 players, very weak refereeing.
Shouldn't have come to penalties...Or extra time.

Columbia scored the equaliser in time added on for their time wasting and gamesmanship leading up to our penalty.

For that....They shouldn't have added any time on.

I have seen Colina at a few of the World Cup matches, if he'd have been ref I think two or three of their players would have had their marching orders, dispicable tactics. The head but on Henderson, the constant rabbiting of Falcao. If we do make it through to the final and face South American opposition I hope we get a referee who will deal with the dirt from the word go.

That could just be a bonus. If we had won 1-0 in the 90 mins. that would have been ok but going through extra time (which was woeful) and then having to pick ourselves up for the penalties may have just given us bit of an edge on how to approach a similar situation, should it occur. All good for experience and character building for this young team.

I thought Colombia were amazingly lucky to still have 11 on the pitch as we arrived at extra time!

France v Uruguay and Brazil v Belgium later, both potentially great games!
Uruguay play really well for a country with a lot less people than Scotland!

Amazing scenes. Potentially, England will go further than, Brazil, Argentina, Germany and Uruguay. Who saw that coming?

Diego Maradona accuses England of cheating. He'll be accusing them of taking cocaine and shooting at reporters next.

Sweden manager;

I didn't give England much chance of performing at this world cup, but they've defied a lot of expectations. Columbia and Sweden are no mugs, but England beat both deservedly. Any team good enough to reach the semis can win it, although you've got to wonder what Gareth Southgate is doing that his more illustrious predecessors didn't.
