Shock results in football

Postby bristleposh » 05 Feb 2017, 09:52

I know people who are serious about gambling, think punters like me are mugs, I can't disagree, but I only lose what I feel I can afford to lose, so about £2 a week. It's nice when occasionally you pick up £70 or £80. However it's still annoying when teams you think are nailed on certainties get stuffed. Yesterday for example I did ten results I had Palace, Southampton, Bradford Doncaster, Rangers and Hibs 6 wrong out of 10 with one game postponed. I can't even pick my nose at the moment.

I think gambling is for mugs.
I know that some people make money from it - especially bookmakers. And I suspect that chompy does quite well.
But we non-gamblers actually put the same numbers into the Lotto every week and can't stop because we know the numbers off by heart and just in case they come up.
I put a system in every 10 weeks which costs me about $200 each time. The most I've ever won was $390. I have won a few even more minor dividends.
But as they say, you have to be in it to win it.
I still think gambling is for mugs. I'll let you know when my numbers come up.
At least I don't have alzheimers.

Could have been worse. You didn't have Liverpool.

Hear hear, but I only lose two pounds a week, £4 on the lottery, over the course of the last 5 or 6 season I have won more on the footy than on the lottery.

I've told you before Tony....Gambling is a mugs game, if you bet like a mug.

How many times are you going to get a 10 team acca up?...That's too many selections and bookies love them.

The best bet...and the one's the bookies fear the most...are the big bets on one selection.

Ask Chompy.
