He's a useful yardstick to have when some people enthuse about the talent we have in our squad. How do Forrester, Doughty and LDSL compare with Oztumer?

When the weather got worse last tuesday the turk as good as he had been up till then virtually disappeared.
In that example Doughty was head and shoulders (no pun intended) and Forrester better too.

Over a whole season he may well be more influential on his particular side, they happen to be 6 points below us in the league so what does that actually say? This is a rhetorical question.
:)

To answer the original question, he can be a helluva player and most squads would be happy to have him a part of it.

Oztumer's fourteen League One goals are thirteen more than the three players I mentioned have amassed in League One this season. Add Grant to that trio and the numbers don't change. Oztumer's total is virtually a quarter of PUFC's League One total (fifty-three) this season. I hope none of our midfielders is buffing his fingernails and reflecting on how fundamentally talented he is. I'd take back Oztumer in exchange for any two (possibly three) of them.

I thought the game last week summed him quite well when he was here. Some great moments but quite often anonymous. We have MM already that's good at that recently. Not sure he'd get in our formation still though

I suppose this will be moved to the thread that already exists for former players
To be fair to John's question Nick, he does refer to how Oztumer compares to Forrester and Leo. Not so much Doughty in my opinion, different kind of midfielder to Oztumer, but like Grant as important.

Joe Lewis apparently had an excellent game as Aberdeen held Rangers to a 1-1 draw, while Russell Martin played for the Blues.

Dwight Gayle scores as Newcastle beat Chelsea. Didn't recognise him owing to the stupid haircut he sports now.

Wow, just wow... Ex Poshie Kieran Sadlier scores from the penalty spot and then from his own penalty area. That makes Boyd and Madison's efforts look like tap ins.
