We were shattered from half time onwards, we made more mistakes than Crotia, we 'lost' our organisation. Good showing though throughout and it looks better for the future.

As a young side we will learn much from this tournament and should be a force in two years time

No reason they should have been shattered, had they have had as much cider as I drank they would have been entitled to feel a bit under the weather. In their previous games they had quite an easy ride but were sadly found wanting when they came up against some proper atheletes who had played far more minutes in the last couple of weeks. Every England player did well apart from possibly Captain Harry, but sadly their best wasn't enough

I take an optimistic view. If Germany (BOTTOM of group) and Spain (my original wagers to win it), to name but two, went out early it was because there was better talent and organization elsewhere. Just because Croatia, Belgium, Sweden and Japan haven't won the world cup (yet) it doesn't make them second tier sides. It would be hard to emphasise that England didn't deserve to be in the semi-final, judging by all the matches I saw, so if they're there on merit they're now consequently one of the BIG footballing nations on this planet. They deserve a great reception ....
