Please remember that this is a family board. I know emotions are running high about certain topics, but that doesn't mean that you need to resort to swearing to get your point across.

Recently several people have started expressing opinions about other boards and their users. Please if they aren't registered here so can't respond then don't moan about them, find their board and say it to their face.

Thanks

We need an adult section on here, a number of forum boards have them where access is done though a password given out by the mods

I think what Paul is getting at is, people like myself Paul Poshman and Paul Sheffield tend to like what is euphamistically called adult humour, every now and then we will post stuff that moderators consider too risky for a family audience, if there were a seperate forum people who are old enough (I think over 16, but some may suggest 18) who want to have the pass to said forum can have it given directly by a mod, that way only people who will not be offended by the jokes will read them. So despite you being over 16, you may not wish to read adult humour jokes, so you would not apply for the password, others under 16 would probably get them from friends, I can imagine magic and his gang of ten year olds would soon find the right word, but if they go to that much trouble. Then tuff. There would obviously need to be some rules, as to the content but that can be hammered out later.

if it is deemed that you are too young to read some of the postings then so be it, but I'm sure you're big enough and ugly enough to check out Sickepedia.

I think I may be the only one who has been banned for a month for swearing.

This is taken from one of the Sheffield United forum sites which is also a family run board.

" The Pig & Truffle
Note: This forum will contain bad taste and adult orientated subjects and therefore is definitely not safe for work. To obtain the password, private message Foxy or Linz. "

Why don't we just take off the swear filter.

Any supporter of Posh has heard a swear word in their time, no matter of their age, and .net allows swearing on there.

And spoilt by it I am afraid at times. I have never sworn on any message Board, no need to, plenty of other good English words to use.

Bit annoying when you get banned for suggesting a song with a swear word in it though.

I do agree with Brian here , however a controled adult section would be a good idea :D
