Hi guys, do you reckon there will be a big turnout for the the Kettering game? Not that far away and they could see it as a bit of a derby?
In the good old days Kettering was certainly a local derby.
Good attendances were often achieved at London Road and at Kettering.
10,398 watched Posh draw 2-2 with Kettering (at Kettering) in the FA Cup 14 October 1950
9.577 watched kettering win the replay 1-2 at London Road 19 October.
On 15th November 1958 17,800 watched another 2-2 draw at London Road.
Then Posh won the replay ay Kettering in front of 11,246.
But I wouldn't expect a big turnout for this friendly at Kettering! Ashman and Nipper will probably go but not too many more!

For the sake of clarity I think what they are saying is that Nottm Forest are going to Spain at the same time as Posh and may play or not, I think that's right but no doubt someone will put me right.
They are playing forest in a pre season friendly, in spain, pre season against forest .

Tuesday 16 July Stevenage away 7.45pm
Saturday 27 July Grimsby Town away 3pm

I'm sure a few fans will have a day out by the seaside in Cleethorpes if the weather is clement

Things have changed a lot in the last 60 years!!! If you expected a sell out then think again - and those games were full blown FA Cup games!

Wednesday 24 July away to Reading kick off 4pm @ Madjeski Stadium free entry

I work in central Reading and can wander down on my way home so this is possibly the best PSF fixture EVER :D :D

Free entry is a bit unusual too isn't it?
