OK what's SAF stand for? Must be something difficult if you think there is more chance of you doing it.

I know that SFA stands for 'Sweet Fanny Adams' and maybe SAF is Darren's dad!?

same here but I think the race day numbers will be ok :D

I know what you mean but tbh I don't feel nervous as up until 21.30 Tuesday night I'd accepted our fate.
It'll be what it'll be.

However if towards the end of today's match things are going our way it may change.

Obviously regulars on this site are not that bothered as it's been very quiet this week, even more than usual.

I'm just glad that I didn't know the meaning of bristle's SAF and that he had to pm me to explain!

Oh well, Fergie didn’t get us as high as Evans after all.

Flat game today but well played Ivan Toney.

It may be a blessing that Posh isn't going further this season. We were outplayed by a Burton side whose crisp passing and movement was a delight to watch. If only they had had their shooting boots on they would have been out of sight by half time. I don't know what the possession stats were but Burton must have been streets ahead. All their goalie had to do all night was pick the ball out of the net three times. Posh relied on kick and chase with individual brilliance to win the match, not good enough for a team with aspirations to greater things.

According to the BBC possession was Posh 48% Burton 52%
Shots on target 5 each
Goals Posh 3 Burton 1
I'd say the better team won

I don't know where the BBC got its figures from but the view from the half way line certainly didn't seem like that. Chapman was much harder worked than theirs. I can't praise Posh's current players enough for their efforts but more than that is needed if we want to progress.

This sounds like a report from the Barcelona Liverpool match in mid week, as reported by a Barcelona fan.

Hell fire! The negativity on this board is still reigning supreme. I thoroughly enjoyed an end of season scrap that didn't develop into a dour encounter and we battled all the way.
I personally have enjoyed the season and am glad that DMac has got his 'Evans' obsession out of his system and relatively quickly too. It's just a shame that he couldn't have seen the light a couple of months quicker, as I am sure that Fergie would have had us at least into the playoffs.
Never mind, we go again soon enough.
To sum up:
Apparently we have already sorted out two new centre backs, plus a left back and right back. Next on the list is a new keeper and a leader in the centre of midfield.
Maddison and O'Malley's contract extended by one year, but can be reviewed later on.
Lafferty off, no return for Mark Little, (bristle will be OTM) Toney and Godden ??? anything could happen here. If a club comes in with money who knows? Tomlin no permanent contract, all loanees to return to their clubs. Ryan Tafazolli, Darren Lyon, Morgan Penfold and Lewis Freestone will leave the club.
La Manga confirmed and booked for pre-season.
The one worrying quote from DMac was this, when discussing Fergie's appointment.
"It’ll be my last big gift to posh bringing him back. In time fans will see that."
