A good Posh fan of many years lost his long fight against cancer today.

He'd planned his funeral down to the Posh decorated coffin long ago, we should all follow the positive attitude that Kev had right till the end.

RIP fella, hope Posh deliver three points for you today

Poor Kev. He battled cancer like a hero. :(

About the first time I knew him, he was going in to have a tumour removed from his neck. He made them promise to cut round his POSH tattoo. It was the first thing he checked when he woke after his surgery.

Proud to have known him.

Rest easy Kev xxx

Kevin Peasgood a massive POSH fan sadly passed away last Saturday after a long but courageous fight against bastard cancer.

On Saturday there will be a minutes applause on the 55th minute (his age) in his memory which hopefully everyone will join in with.

His favourite top was the Vintage Cherry one (I know I know) so if you see quite a number of them on Saturday you'll know why as his friends who own one will be wearing it.

PISA 2000 have invited his son Mark and granddaughter Ellie to present the PISA 2000 player of the Season award pre match on our behalf and in Kevin's name as a PISA member.

Also we have designated the 3rd race of the race day which will be named The Kevin Peasgood Memorial Stakes and asked his family and close friends to name all 8 horses.

Some of you may not have known him well but would probably recognise him.

Thanks.

Race 3 raised £175 plus gift aid for the just giving Cancer Research appeal in Kev's name by PISA 2000.

As generous as ever those that won gave the money back and we sold all horses and jockeys twice over.

Thanks all, very proud to be a part of such a great organisation

Well done to all concerned. Couldn't get down to Ebs in time but remembered to wear my Cherry Vault (sp.) Posh shirt in memory. The minutes clapping at 55 mins. was superbly adhered to as well. Well done to the Posh crowd.

Thoughts with Kev's family and friends who will be bidding him farewell today.
Didn't know him well enough to attend but he was Proper POSH and he'll love chatting to all the ex players and managers up there.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Kevin however we became friends on Facebook and what an incredible man. So sad to be taken so young. He will be up there watching this team and urging us on.
