It's all very sad IMO. The families of the alleged abused will not now have closure and the family of Mr Carson will be left wondering how things have worked out and how to carry on with their lives.

The families' loss of closure may be tempered by reading today's Telegraph which reports that bars are to be removed from prison windows and cells are to be renamed "rooms" to make prisons less "institutionised". The taxpayer too will be relieved from the burden of keeping the alleged child molester in creature comforts for his stay in jail should he have been found guilty.
