Hoofball is dead!

Hopefully. We proved tonight that we are capable of passing the ball instead of just flinging it forward in the hope that someone might get a chance on goal. Walker, Reed and Woodyard were superb tonight. Whether the players took it in their own hands to play it on the green stuff or whether Evans has finally realised that we are never going to maintain a promotion charge simply by hoofing the ball forward is arguable but it certainly worked. Well done whoever it was.

But we were still hanging on for the final quarter against a mid table side on our own turf. It made for an exciting finish but Posh should be putting sides like Fleetwood away. Still too much ball up in the air, Fleetwood were far slicker at moving the ball forward. Not for the first time this season a Posh attack ended with Chapman kicking the ball into touch. Onwards to Burton.

It was a vast improvement on the performance against Accrington.
