Biggest match for years and this site has no comments for 2 days

Anyway, as long as we negate their threat(s) from the wings we can win this and send a massive message to the rest of the division but we have to turn up from the start, get in their faces and not take our feet off the throttle.
I haven't seen any evidence we can do that for 90 minutes (didn't make Plymouth) so reckon it'll be a draw.

so many have been driven away from this board by bullies, nipper, ashman, tonyp, pete wass, poshman41, even myself find it hard to post when all you get is criticism for having differing opinions from the bully boys. If they're banned they come back under a different user name and the whole vicious circle comes up again. There have been other members who have gone the same way, it's sad but the fact remains that different people have different views on Posh but aren't allowed to post.

One of my happiest memories was Keith Ripley scoring just before half time at fratton Park maybe 1961
Pompey equalised in the second half and then billy hails got the winner in the last few minutes
The chant all the way on the train back was “poor old Pompey”

Maybe we lost to villa in the next round ?

A good day to win today

Such a shame because, once again, we get a big crowd and we fail. I hope they return and help us on.

Posh did well to get to half time all square. They persisted in pumping high balls forward to their diminutive strikers with the inevitable result that the giant Pompey defenders had great heading practice. In fact most of the Pompey side were over six foot tall. In the second half this tactic persisted with the same result. It was no surprise when they took the lead and followed it up with another. Posh finally woke up in added time, scored and could even have equalised but it was all too late and it would have been a travesty of justice had they done so. Back to the drawing board Mr Evans.

Glass half empty tonight Ashman. We didn't play well but enough positives for me in some of the performances by the players. No shame losing to Portsmouth today. We made more mistakes than them, which was all the difference there was

Pompey had the edge over us all over. We made a real game of it after our subs. came on. Maybe Maddison should have appeared after half-time.

Anyone there would have seen how they were better than us, sadly. But they are a championship/premier club. Watching us was like watching Wimbledon in the 80s, except like the chap said earlier, 2 x short arse strickers, that made CB look good. As a football fan, I’m pleased to see him do well. The season won’t be defined by this result, so the next couple of games will need positive results. I do believe automatic promotion is achievable.

Yes no shame in losing today. I'm not seeing what Maddison is offering even in his cameo subs appearances now. Can't believe how much his stock has fallen in such a short space of time
