I can't get excited about these cup games, just hope no one gets injured and we are in good shape for Luton on Saturday.
Me neither, but if we get past QPR we 'could' just be in with a chance of drawing a Premier or Championship team in round 2. Welcome by the way!
Thanks :D

Honestly don't care about the result tonight.

Have backed O'Hara to score again before those pesky bookmakers catch up, but wouldn't want him doing another 9km half or owt.

It's all about Luton on Saturday. They're a real good footballing side, so we'll need energy levels right up.

Nothing changes when it comes to cup matches involving Posh, we always seem to lose way to teams from a higher division, over 20 years since we beat a top flight side in the league cup and north of fifty years since we beat one in the FA cup. I know the bread and butter is the league, but from a fans point of view beating teams from higher up the pyramid is what gets people excited.

Irrelevant result.

Not at it first half. QPR eased off second half and we were the better team. Irrelevant all round. Glad to be out.

Results in early rounds of this cup are about as meaningful as pre-season friendlies. Hope we play the reserves in that EFL garbage too.

DMac will tell anyone who listens that he doesn't pick the team but I'd be pretty certain the message from above is that we want full strength teams played in the cups. So a full-strength team may well take the pitch but that doesn't always mean they're full motivated for it. Sure Uncle Steve is quite happy to be out.

The fact we left our front men on the bench said it all about our intentions here.

We've been knocked out of a competition we had little chance of making any cash from.... It's no big deal at all.

Take the defeat and move on to a much more important game on Saturday.

If we’d started the clock on 7 minutes and they’d left the pesky Washington on the bench where he usually is, we might’ve drawn that one.
Anyway, no worries! Roll onSaturday :comeon: :comeon:
We go again...

I see the usual twitterati idiots have laid into Denton already. After 1 game when we were poor throughout and against better opposition. But clearly if you can tweat you're an expert now

A friend of mine who I spoke to after the game was full of the praises of Ward, said he had a 100% pass record for finding the opposition with every pass.

Sorry I meant throughout the team rather than the whole game.... Rather bizarre to be that critical after 1 game
