Darragh and Fry saying we're done for the day.

No more incomings.

Maddison staying....
Good new. I hope there will have a good link between Toney and Maddison on the front of attack.

The only thing Maddison will be linking with is his agent, hoping to get out on loan somewhere.

Technically MM is still the best player on the books, if Evans is a good manager he will play him and get the best out of him.

I can't see us getting a huge wedge for him now. He is still a contracted Posh player, one of the most creative in League One, and it is criminal that he is not on the footballing stage. It is also a great shame for the player himself. I hope he quickly gets sorted out on a loan, with a permanent deal in January (and hopefully with a good payday for us too.) The club should be trying to get him back playing for Posh, however but I can't see it happening. A very valuable (potential) asset who for some of his actions and unfortunate circumstances around him needs to be playing.
Tafazolli also needs to be sorted out with a new contract now that the running around of transfer day is over. Come on Barry. You have done an amazing job this window, just finish this last bit off.

He doesn't want to be here.

For whatever reason and we have different views as to why, he is still here but seemingly will not be after Monday when he'll go on loan with a view etc somewhere.

Despite protestations to the contrary he is not an Evans type of player, skills acknowledged but it's the rest of the package.

Thanks Marcus, tremendous talent, shame you've abused it.

Oversimplistic nonsense.

The Taff situation has been covered to death by DMac on Twitter. All the talk of him leaving yesterday was consequently pointless, as are the calls for him to sign a new contract. The situation is very simple.

As for MM, which player has been the constant during our period of stagnation/underachievement in L1? Why did SE label him a genius when he arrived but take him away from the group asap? Why does a player with his talent get booted out of Newcastle and forced to drop into non-league?

Maybe there was a deal between Maddison and Evans and the board : Maddison was exempt of matches until the end of the window... And if he didn't find a club, he will be in the team again.. It's possible no ?

Otherwise, I think it miss one defender on more in the squad... But generaly it's a good transfer window with a good pick-up on the deadline day by the swoop of Toney

Now Marcus is staying then of course he should play !! Why not play your best, and only flair player. Toney and Marcus would be lethal.

It appears we've had a good transfer window... Proof will be in the pudding of course.

Near miss with Kayden Jackson...but I'm sure we've done the same ourselves. That happens in football.

As for Maddison ... He's unlikely to play for the club again and it's all about getting him out of the door for the best deal possible...As soon as possible.

A rumour is circulating that Maddison doesn't want to play for Evans and wants away as soon as possible. Move to West Brom fell through as they had "issues with his attitude".

Trouble is it was tolerated as the star performer. Anywhere else and he's just another player with potential. Anyone that knows Evans knows he won't tolerate what previous managers turned a blind eye to. Shame because he should be able to perform at levels higher than say Boyd or Tomlin but probably never will

It's pretty poor showing from a supposed professional if true. Darraghs been pretty clear. Hell sell him for the right price as he agreed with him before
