Probably slightly more experienced than Freestone based on his Port Vale loan last season, but yes possibly. Wasn't it suggested that Freestone would go out on loan, or did I imagine that?

Freestone looked nervous and out of his depth in the couple of games he played under Evans last season.

The manager has worked with both players...and clearly rates Denton as the better option.

We can't afford to carry passengers.

No complaints from me on this one.

Doesn’t seem that much more experienced than Freestone, assume he’s coming as a back up to Daniel and if so couldn’t Freestone perform that role? Just asking the question before the usual suspects leap to Evans defence.
It appears that in every post you make an accusation that there are two camps, those pro Evans and those anti. What about those of us and I am convinced there are lots who are just pro Posh and only want success for Posh. Back on topic I have only ever seen Freestone play and as he has come through our youth system I would love nothing better than for him to be a success. He has played half a dozen games at league one level and a handful of games at non-league level. To say that Denton has that little experience is to denounce league two as akin to level 6-7&8. I think Posh found out last season that teams promoted from league two were certainly on a par with mid table league one sides. Again, I’ll be happy to wait and see if he is better, and not bandy about accusations that the manager needs defending on his choice of players.

We all want success for Posh, just some with Evans some without.

Now that we have a reserve/U23 team, is this not the vehicle for players like Freestone to learn & develop under Evans daily coaching?

We are all Posh bristle; some are convinced that this season will be a success and some are a little bit more reticent about it. It is not a competition!

Jorge Grant gone to Luton on loan, so that one's off.

Really surprised and disappointed we didn't get him.

Darragh was bigging him up on Twitter one day...and the next thing we " lost interest" in him.

Something went wrong I reckon.

I dont like Evans, his demeanour, his foul mouth outbursts and hia ability to deflect any blame awaybfeom him....

However, one has to be impressed by his recruitment this summer, on paper it looks awesome and thats without two new forwards to come in and for the first time in quite a few years am really excited about the season.

My only concern now, as we do appear to have a squad of giants is the style of football he is going to have then playing. But am now actually convinced this could be our year

"Peterborough are ready to bid for Charlie Wyke after failing to land Kayden Jackson.
"Posh will aim to seel a deal for around £1m for free-scoring Wyke, and beat Bolton to him."

We need 2 striker's but we've been...so far...unable to land who we wanted...Eisa and Jackson.

Evans sounded a touch frustrated in his interview on radio cambs yesterday...As he knows it's the final part of the jigsaw

Personally... I'd be happy to start the season with Marriott and Godden..but they're going to have to start playing together in pre season friendlies sooner rather than later.

If Marriott goes ... We'll be in a much better position to get the right one's in.

Any two of Wyke, Jackson and Eisa and our promotion chances would double.

4 weeks to get this sorted.

Although Darragh reckons this week...

Wonder how much sorting is waiting in JM going? Unless there's some windfall not sure how we can spend big without him going? If we are going to spend big up front....

We're prepared to.

Darragh has admitted bidding for Eisa..and that'll take a million plus to buy him.

We want two...So we may well buy one before Marriott leaves and one after.

We certainly need at least one target man.
