Said we should have picked him up in January. Offer £1m cash plus add ons, whatever it takes if there's a chance!
£1 million for a striker with one years League Two experience under his belt? But then again it worked out well for us with Britt in 2013 I suppose but we only paid £450k for Marriott which with FFP is probably more in our price range even with the expected M&M money.

He'll go for more than £1m I promise you. Sometimes it's solely about talent rather than where or what level.

Cant see us spending £1m on 1 player as i reckon SE will want 2 x proven strikers on the basis we lose JM there aint anything left. Lloyd runs around will contribute with goals but if SE seriously wants to push for championship football this squad seriously needs improving in quality

Welcome halfway!

We spent more than a millball on Britt and that carthorse whose name we shan't mention.

If the potential's there DMac will splash the big cash. Seem to remember some fancy numbers being mentioned for Jason Cummings (dodged a bullet there), while Kieffer Moore wouldn't have been far off that price.

Who would you go for as proven strikers?

I thought I mentioned it somewhere, I also said if they wanted Marriot we could perhaps gervavdeal for him and Eisa plus a few million too.

Matt Taylor is the ideal signing if he's prepared to slum it in L1 again.

The Debate on Sky Sports was very interesting last night. Looking at the mental side of football(ers). It definitely isn't taken into account enough. Especially with this season's squad.

I liked the lad from scunthorpe i know he was on loan from Newcastle Toney thought he caused our CB problems both on the deck and in the air. i know Qpr are flogging washington as im from there and family member works there however hes on about 9-10k a week but in reality hes league one at best. Kieffer Moore would suit SE game more than Jack Marriott but cant see him being affordable either. Also the lad Armstrong think he was on loan at Coventry a season or so ago. If were going to aim for championship football we need look at a couple of quality additions. Our promotion season have coincided with the MAC attack of Adcock Charlery so id look to make a pairing rather than one.

As you rightly point out Chompy we got it right with Britt but boy was shan't mention shocking so we do get it wrong as well, and with all due respect to SE how anyone can judge him already is a bit short sighted but with FFP our crowd is up and down like a fiddlers elbow i dont think we can afford to mess it up and get of to a slow start to next season.

Matt Taylor is one of Daz's 'source' tips, therefore loses all credibility.

Makes complete sense. An Evans player of the past.

Better shout than many we have had so far. 26 year old, 5ft 11 ins. 19 goals in 94 games for Rotherham while Evans was in charge. Ruled out for three months with injury last season and ended up with 4 goals in just 20 games played.
I hope we don't end up paying much for him if he arrives and hardly a replacement for Marriott.

A winger isn't a replacement for a prolific striker? Good work.

Give us some of your names then ashman?

Started already then, Evans signing his mates because he can’t actually ‘coach’ anybody and make them better.
