New bar at London Road

https://www.theposh.com/news/2018/april ... -fan-zone/

How ironic, open same day the sally army are gigging nearby :D

Anyway, good idea. Dads (or mums) can enjoy a drink whilst kids are having fun in the fan zone. :clap2:

They can admire Chris at the same time

Great idea, assume it acts as a stopping off point for the hardened drinkers as they stagger from the local pub before hitting the bar inside the ground

I did that for the first few matches. First the left foot, (lost) then the right (lost) and then I think that over the coming three or four games Chris only helped me to garner one point - so I stopped doing it. Not that I am superstitious or anything!!

I still do it every game as a sign of respect, like you I gave up thinking it would work many games ago

The normal pillocks hilariously (in their minds) deriding the bar miss the point, it is a good idea and I can guarantee nobody will plonk themselves at the bar as soon as it opens and just sit there (not at the prices charged in the ground anyway) but as I said and they chose to ignore it will give an option to anyone who has a kid playing on the fanzone facilities and who fancies a drink. I am sure they probably think the fanzone is a bad idea, pesky kids and all that :P

Absolutely, we Brits should be proud of our drinking 'culture'. You don't get scenes like in Amsterdam recently without it.

We now live in a society where it's acceptable to take kids into pubs and watch them run amok whilst the parents down lagers at the bar.

Now the club are happy to let the kids play in the fan zone...Good idea....Whilst parents can get a couple of overpriced flat warm pints of lager from a little caravan outside the ground.

Bad idea.

Never any trouble from Teetotallers. The scenes in Amsterdam were more likely caised by the Police going by the British reputation.

Let your kids run wild in the play zone whilst the "adults" get sloshed drinking out the the back of a caravan.... Great role models (says one of the pillocks, eh Wycliffe?)
