Blackburn away moved to Thursday April 19th.

This is hardly going to help our away support. Saturday could have been a good time, especially if we keep ourselves firmly in the playoff places.

Every time one of our games gets moved for TV there's moaning.

It's a good thing! We're getting national exposure.

Plus there's not many, aside from the hard-drinking OAPs on here, who have the time to get on a coach to Lancs.

The good thing is that it gives the team extra time to recuperate before the game against Shrewsbury.

So what you are saying is the teetotallers don't attend away games

It is crap but especially for those of us who travel away.
Assuming we are still on a good run we'd have taken a decent number up there so you are wrong there.
Leave at 8am home by 9pm.

Hard drinking OAP's? You met Brian?

I'm sure you're right that it won't attract too many Posh fans to travel so far on a Thursday evening.
The 175 that went to Bury will probably go and even a few more if it is a must win game and Wycliffe can get a bus load to go.
As for me I'll be happy if it's shown live on the telly here at 4:45 am (assuming you have DST then)

By then I expect it will be BST (British Summer Time) rather than DST (Dingo Saving Time)!

Never mind those of us who’ve already booked non refundable train tickets to the game though hey, as long as you’re happy.

Of course, that sucks.

Any further thoughts on Anthony Grant? Feel like I'm still owed an apology here.

Adi, Chompy has never met any of us. Hence why none of us can tell you anything about the bloke.

Very annoying. Could have gone for a 5.30 kick off and still been on telly. At least I can get coaches refunded - feel for those with train tickets bought.

This is the main reason I have stopped buying advance tickets for train travel. Ok you can save a few quid but the games are so regularly changed because of weather, tv coverage, international call ups, etc etc, that you tend to lose more when this happens. There may be others, but Shrewsbury, Blackburn, Wimbledon are a few that spring to mind immediately, this season alone.

We do know that he's not prepared to come up to any posh.netters who regularly attend games.
I find it hard to believe that he can't walk up to Nipper or Ashman, for example, and say "G'day I'm Chompy. Pleased to meet you" And then go back to his own mates. Easy.
Everybody can find Nipper with her rattle.

So you think he probably talks like an Australian

I'm sorry, I didn't realise that, as part of being allowed to post on a public forum, one had certain responsibilities.

Maybe I'll sort out 'An evening with Chompy' to be held at Ebs. You can all come along, have 12 pints, and chip in for a bronze statue of me outside the London Road end.
