We'd have lost that under McCann, oh wait
Good to see you celebrating a loss.
Bit rich that Chompy when you wanted us to lose to Wimbledon recently. 3 games in and Evans has his first “I picked the wrong team” admission! McCann would have been slaughtered on here for that but not Uncle Stevie it seems.
I note the Chompmeister hasn't put up an apology to me, too much to expect I suppose

It wasn't the Wimbledon game (it's unlike Hants to get his facts wrong...) I wanted us to lose, it was the Walsall game. Written straight after the Wimbledon debacle.

Fortunately, we didn't need to lose it in order to get a change at the helm, as he went two nights beforehand.

Evans will sort the wheat from the chaff, he Is looking at what he has at his disposal, he cannot be expected, at this time, to know his players as we do. In training some have been flattering to deceive. He learned quite a bit yesterday. He has enough matches left to make a lot of fans very happy at the end of the season!

Spot on... There's a few of us that have Enough common sense to see what Evans is doing whilst the vultures circle ready to swoop for every opportunity :comeon:

The midfield needs ripping apart for sure.

Andrew Hughes has scored more goals than our entire midfield this season...It's a joke.

Plymouth have Carey...Scunthorpe have Morris...
Walsall have Oztumer...We have no one.

That is our main issue and I'm confident Evans can put it right.

If you count Oztumer as one of the midfielders then surely you should include Madison and he's score quite a few as well as creating a lot

I see Maddison as a wide man/forward.

We don't have a goal threat from midfield.

In fact we've only scored 2 goals all season from midfield...

Wigan have Nick Powell, Blackburn have Bradley Dack, Shrewsbury have Jon Nolan.

A quality attacking midfielder makes a hell of a difference in this league.

If we play 4-4-2 then surely the second bank of 4 are midfield

We've hardly played 4-4-2. Marcus has been used as one of three, or behind JM, far more than in a four.

Basically we've only had Marriott, Maddison and Lloyd to score the goals all season. Gwion has been a huge miss.

I'd keep none of the current midfield in the summer.

Yeah...but you can't call Maddison a midfielder.

When's the last time you saw him in the middle of the park or tracking back?

He's a wide man/front man.

Grant is a defensive midfielder...and the only one who's performed all season.

The rest have been woeful...and get over run most weeks.

Having watched the whole game from afar, it was disappointing

the 2 highlights were Marriott's goal, and hearing you Poshies in good voice
Plymouth to Portsmouth 2017 -2018, that ain't far

Is Evans job to asses the squad OR get promoted as it surely can’t be both plus he claims to have watched numerous Posh games this season so if he has then we should be really worried about his picking of Anderson & #pricetag on Saturday and his continual ignoring of one of our stand out players this season in Grant. I suspect there might be some ‘history’ there between them both as no-one in their right mind would pick Anderson, Doughty or #pricetag ahead of Grant?

Apologies for getting my Ws mixed up, that offsets a fan wanting his own team to lose of course.

Another one happy to lose... Are you pot or kettle? Clearly you're still struggle with Uncle Stevie being here. Best get used to it.... I expect you'll pop back up after every defeat
Do you think that he got his starting eleven right on Saturday then? And when did I say I was happy to lose or is that just a way of you deflecting the fact that Evans messed up? Unlike Chompy I would NEVER wants us to lose EVER, not even in the waste of time find a plumber Trophy.
