Oxford v Poshies

Post by Chompy » 15 Mar 2018, 11:08

It seems Oxford are close to finally getting their new man after more than seven weeks without a manager.

Craig Bellamy was close...Sven Goran Erikkson was favourite early in the week!

But it looks like it's going to be Karl Robinson! Please announce him on Friday, so we can beat him yet again.

Oxford have fallen in a heap since Jack Payne left in January and they're just drifting aimlessly.

No excuses for not winning this, and hopefully some pretty football to appease the McCann lovers, ie, eight crosses across the back line before Taff launches it forward in the general direction of Marriott.

This is the type of game we'd have lost a month ago....

A manager less...struggling side. ..free falling down the table... Ring any bells?

Not now though.

Total football....and 3 more points.

Seems that Oxford will not be appointing a new manager before our game which must be a positive for us. They've earned lost 5 out of the 7 games since sacking Clotet. The lack of stability, especially with the change of ownership, seems to have led to a drop in form which I hope we can take advantage of:

My team for Saturday:
4-4-2: Bond; Shephard Taylor Baldwin Hughes; Maddison Lopes Forrester Ward; Bogle Marriott

Same as last Saturday. No need to chop and change repeatedly. Strong bench to call upon including Morias and Lloyd.

Evans said there will be changes for this and possibly a different formation.

I'd like to see Morias up front.
But I just want to see us win.
I'm easy to please.

Could be dropping Lloyd for Bogle and switching from a 4-4-1-1 at Bury to 4-4-2

Personal bias means I prefer this team with 2 strikers hence the team I suggested, but have the substitute appearances of Cooper, Anderson, etc proved they should be starting ahead of the current 11? Morias hasn't even made an appearance since Walsall.

I think the competition for places can only be positive and believe whatever team is chosen to start tomorrow will have enough quality to do well.

Never had you down as a Justin Bieber fan stuie?

Looks like LDSL behind JM to me in a 4-4-1-1.

708 Poshies made the trip to Oxford today in horrendous conditions. Maybe they had the obligatory eight pints to warm em up.

Red card.

Calamity Jack.

Plymouth win again and we have two tough games coming up. Things are starting to look tougher.

We always lose to Oxford...and we always lose to teams without a manager.

Some things never change
