Posh v Charlton Athletic

Post by tonyp » 02 Mar 2018, 12:24

So this is our next game and the first one with Steve Evans in charge.
And it's at home.
I know the whole of England seems to be copping bad weather at the moment. Hopefully this won't last until next week.
Assuming this game goes ahead then both teams will be looking at this game as a "must win" to get into the top six.
I'm predicting that Posh will reward Evans with a well fought win.
Posh 4 Charlton 2
Posh scorers Maddison Morias Lloyd and Bogle.
Bond, Shephard, Hughes, Taylor, Baldwin, Ward, Maddison, Doughty, Forrester, Morias, Marriott. Subs to include Bogle and Lloyd who will both score.

Oldham beat Scunthorpe on Saturday. Unless Scunthorpe now go into a really bad run that surprise result won't help us too much.
Bristol Rovers fans will be hoping for a play off place after their win against MK Dons.
And there are a few other teams looking to get that sixth spot.
So, we have a fight on our hands and we have to start with a win against Charlton.

Scunthorpe are far from assured top six, while Bristol Rovers have only outside chances (25-1 in one place) of making the top six.

Apart from that, you nailed it.

Scunthorpe
Plymouth
Bristol Rovers
Charlton
Posh

If you give us and Bristol Rovers a chance then surely Pompey must come into the equation

So, which 5 teams do you think the final two will come from?

This was always going to be a big one,now with last week's events it is huge.Really looking forward to it.I thinks it's safe to
say we won't be carrying any passengers from now on! Also,i think we have seen the last of trendy formations and 'playing the right way' (which means f*****g about in defence until you hoof it or concede a goal).
Bring it on!

Looking for big things under the new manager, Saturday's game is immense.

New manager...New owners...

New era.

What better way to kick it off with a win against a top six side....Even though they're seventh :D

Come Saturday tea time...We should have a better idea if we're serious play off contenders or not.

The biggest difference should be in the pre-match atmosphere. No more apathy.

The atmosphere at home games has been flat for sometime now...London Road End especially.

One good performance and 3 points can turn that around.

Evans is a 4-4-2 man....

Bond...Shepherd. Baldwin. Taylor. Hughes....Grant. Forrester. LDSL Maddison...Marriott. Bogle.
