Another non-league signing?

Post by BigFry12 » 29 Jan 2018, 23:03

I have heard we are trying sign Wokings Jordan Wynter.

Played really well when we played them so could be a good one.

Anyone else heard similar?

Where have you heard this from? DMac has said that there will be no more incomings this window and has gone back to the States.

If that's what DMac has said on Twitter, it must be true.

Has anyone got proof he's gone back to the US of A? I'd be amazed if it's true.

So what if he is back home.....

I'm pretty sure he doesn't have to be present for a deal to be done.

My gut feeling is we will.make possibly one or even two new signings before the deadline, but my biggest concern is that one or even both will be lower league or non league hopefuls with expectations of hitting the ground running. I hope I'm wrong, but we are becoming as predictable with our signings as we are with our style of play. If the club is serious about making the playoffs, then experience is needed. Proven goal scorer and an attacking central midfielder are priority to stand any chance of success this season.

Another attacking midfielder to add to the 3-4 we have, including one just signed in the window in Cooper?

I aloways love these vague shopping lists. How about giving a name? This proven goal scorer?

Don't get the reticence of signing NL players, Miller apart that's our commercial role model, and very successful it's been.
Most, well certainly a lot want Cooper to start Saturday, Morias can from St Albans, Lloyd Stockport was it and they have both done really well, and as meat loaf said two out of three ain't bad.
As long as we bring in proven players to hedge any risk associated with doing aowhy not. DM and BF have repeatedly shown it is a good model to follow and our games against Woking and Tranmere have if nothing else proven to me there is some right nuggets in the conference

I don't think that there was any reticence from either Chompy or myself about signing NL players. I think it was more the fact that we already have, as he said, 3 or 4 attacking midfielders plus Cooper, who has just signed for us and is now available for all games until the end of the season.

Name me a central.midfielder we currently have who attacks the opposing penalty area and scores regularly.?
We current have 10 midfielders, 5 who are predominately wide men. 4 who cant hardly muster a goal between them and one who never gets a game.Cooper we are trying to play centrally but at Crewe he was also a wide man. Does that explain my point!

Not really.

Cooper has been brought in to fill that void and his return of one goal from less than one half of football should be enough for starters.

Doughty can also play there, as can LDSL. Junior's being tried too but I don't like that idea as mentioned elsewhere.

Still waiting for you to name this proven goal scorer? You could probably name this attacking midfielder you want too?

Or are you just one of the terrace boo boys who hears a point being made by someone else and runs with it? Without having any actual knowledge?
