MK is the only local outfit that I see as “derby” to me. Cambridge and Northampton are irrelevant now.

This is a good draw.
MK are a further 10 miles away and they are another 'football club' disrespected by the rest of the football world. Are you an MK fan? because most Posh fans do not see them as rivals in any shape or form!

MK Dons are not a derby. Nor is Leicester.
Corby, Boston, Grantham, Kettering, Kings Lynn were local derbies.

Cambridge and Northampton are our local derbies.

MK has become a rivalry.

I'd never honestly look at Leicester as being a derby, despite its proximity.

Would think most share those views?
Rivalry is a very apt word for Leicester but they are no way considered a local derby by most Posh fans. We have however had some fantastic games against them with some top draw numbers of spectators.

The operative word here is 'were!' If we were all living in the late 1950s that statement would be spot on. I still don't reckon there is now a team we could consider as a proper 'derby!'

Agreed but ... that is looking again as if they may be going down a league at the end of the season. :D

Posh V Cobblers is THE derby for both clubs.

The Franchise aren't a proper football club....So you can't count them.

Depends on age doesn't it? The sweeping statement about our only DERBY?

We only share the county with one other league club and anyone who became a Poshie in the 80s/90s will see Cambridge as our biggest rival locally.

:stupid: That's exactly why I said "were". As Stuie said it's all about opinions.
I always considered Corby, Boston, Grantham, Kettering, Kings Lynn as local derbies. Not any more obviously.

:stupid: And I'd guess that most poshies would go along with that.
