Re: Kieffer Moore
Would be an exciting addition for sure...
Rotherham claim...'Kieffer would love to stay with us'....Hmmm I suspect he wouldn't say no to playing alongside Maddison and Marriott either.
Talking of which...Darragh clearly has no intention of selling either of them in this window.

In the same way that Callum Elder and Luke McGee would have loved to stay with us?
Really hope we can get this one over the line, not least for my chunky top L1 scorer bets,

Re: Kieffer Moore
You would hope that with Darragh doing the dealing and the prospect for Moore of playing alongside the league's top assist maker and goalscorer should be able to help get this one tied up....

fry "hopeful of getting the deal done but discrepancies of how any potential fee would be paid"
moore hasn't scored since november 11th...then again the franchise hadn't won since november 11th until they played us.

I would have thought Barry would have kept quiet until the deal has been definitely been done. Other teams could yet nip in with better offers.Peterborough director of football Barry Fry said: "We have had a bid for Kieffer Moore accepted by Ipswich.

Re: Kieffer Moore
Having looked at his record I think he could be another Barnett, that should please stuie. Prior to a purple patch at the start of this season the only time he’d scored more than ten goals in a season was at the start of his career in Conference South. He hasn’t scored since November and I’m a year older since then. A lot of money only worth 10k a year ago has his stock really gone up that much. I fear it could be a costly mistake.
Re: Kieffer Moore
Have you seen him play? Feels like a lot of sweeping statements and guesswork otherwise.
Aside from which...

I didn't make any deal public. Nor should anybody at our club. We are not signing any striker today or tomorrow or day after & defo not for a Million quid. Ignore whats been written today or commented on

Maybe in your world.
The guy looked an absolute animal at our place earlier in the season. Did that come across on Radio Cambs commentary?

Re: Kieffer Moore
I've said it before and I'll say it again. There is no need for a big lump up front. What's all this enthusiasm for a 6ft plus target man? In general, this is not the way that modern football is played. Being extremely mobile, strong and able to hold the ball up with an eye for goal is far more important. Being able to head a ball comes second in the desirability stakes. Watch big strikers heading balls and mostly the ball ends up anywhere but where it is supposed to, because they are being challenged by an equally tall monster defender! (Tyrone Barnett anyone? - sorry stuie!) What is more important is to get in front of the defender, make sure that the ball is played in fairly low to him and a good target man will be able to shield the ball from the defenders, lay the ball off to others or turn and shoot accurately. (Aaron McLean anyone?) - far more effective than hoof it in the air, hoping that the big man may get a glancing header on it!
Watch football and note that nine times out of ten, defenders will win balls that are launched into the air. I don't enjoy watching this type of football. It is a throwback to the fifties and sixties.
